World map shows the locations where Star Wars Movies have been filmed

For “Star Wars Day” (May 4th) 2022 I created this map showing locations on Earth that have been used in Star Wars movies for various planets.

Data

The land polygons were acquired from naturalearthdata.com

The background image was acquired from Wikimedia

The movie locations were acquired from a Wikipedia article that listed all locations around the world where Star Wars worlds were filmed.
